Following our Centennial Chronicles exhibition in 2024, Atlas has continued to support researcher Nikolai Debono in his original research within the Malta Chamber archives.

Stamped and Signed: Malta’s 19th Century Maritime Story was a series of talks exploring Malta’s maritime and commercial heritage through rare insurance records, archival documents and historical artefacts from the 19th century. Drawing on materials preserved by The Malta Chamber of Commerce, the National Archives of Malta, Heritage Malta and private collections, the reserch reveals the people, enterprises and maritime networks that helped shape Malta’s role within Mediterranean trade and insurance history.
