Around 90 boys participated in the third edition of the Atlas football festival, which was held at Melita FC Football Ground.

The participating football nurseries included Zebbug, Luqa, Fgura, San Gwann, Luxol, Pembroke, Hamrun and Melita. Following a ‘round robin’ of 12 games for the Under 9s teams, the teams were presented with trophies to remember the occasion.

“The aim of these events is to promote an active and healthy lifestyle, where children learn about the importance of physical exercise,” explained Atlas Marketing and HR Manager Jackie Attard Montalto. “We also promote this same healthy agenda with our staff through the Atlas Wellness programme, offering exercise classes like circuit training and a walking and running club, as well as presentations by experts on topics like nutrition.
