The wellness theme at Atlas has been introduced to increase wellbeing through various talks on subjects as far ranging as dental health, skin and breast cancer prevention as well as fitness sessions including Pilates, Yoga and more recently circuit training.  

The newest addition to the programme has been the introduction of the Atlas Smoking Cessation Clinic. As part of the programme, Atlas staff members were given a presentation on choosing between tobacco and health and how to quit smoking. 

As part of its breakdown and towing service, Atlas RoadAssist, Atlas Insurance is now extending its services whilst its clients are travelling in Europe with their vehicle. 

Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd has recently opened two new branches, located in Naxxar Road, San Gwann and SkyParks Business Centre, Malta International Airport. The latter branch will be replacing the Zurrieq Branch office.

Atlas staff collected €1000 during their annual Christmas Charity collection, which is always doubled by the company. All funds went towards the Appogg Children’s Fund used to purchase necessities for children in need. 

Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd recently teamed up with the SwimAid charity to raise money for Joseph Bugeja, the victim of a severe occupational accident. Atlas managed to raise €3500 for Swim+Aid and Mr. Bugeja, through a number of activities, which culminated in a swimming event held at Sliema Aquatic Sports Club for Atlas staff, family and friends, together with the youngsters from the SASC Nursery, the adult swimmers from the Club, the young footballers from Melita Football Youth Nursery and swimmers from Exiles Sports Club, who also pitched in to help Atlas reach its goal.

The Valletta Grand Prix Foundation is proud to announce that it will be collaborating with Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd during the upcoming Mdina Grand Prix in October.

Over the years, Atlas has prided itself on supporting local events and culture through its corporate marketing campaigns. This year’s event will see no less than 80 participants participating in the race, which takes place around the Mdina bastions.

Atlas Insurance has presented funds to Heritage Malta’s Malta Maritime Museum to acquire to acquire an 18^th century Portulan. This Portulan atlas is now the second artefact of its kind found within the National Collection.

AXA PPP International together with Atlas Healthcare have recently launched their latest product in Malta – international health insurance plans for expatriates. During a business breakfast held last month at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Shaun Scott AXA PPP International’s International Business Development Manager gave a brief overview on the various cover plans and the numerous benefits they offer to local insurance brokers. 

Edmond Agius of Valletta FC is the Atlas Insurance player of the month for December. Throughout the month of December, Edmond contributed to Valletta’s winning streak - earning another 6 points, to lead the table with a total of 44 points.

The Atlas Insurance ‘win your money back’ competition has already seen five Atlas clients receiving their full refund, including this month’s winner Mr. Jesmond Galea. In his answer Mr. Galea praised Atlas for having the best overall package and excellent customer oriented services, both of which are high on the company’s agenda and highly regarded as an integral part of the holistic service provided by the company.

Atlas Staff celebrated their newly launched Denplan product range last Friday. The celebrated Denplan brand sports the famous apple logo and Atlas staff, besides being given a fresh apple each by the company, gave an apple to each client visiting the Atlas offices Friday August 5, wrapped up with an information sheet about good oral health and the advantages of being in Denplan.

The Atlas Group will shortly be opening a new branch in St Paul’s Bay to service and expand their client base in the North parts of the Island.

The office, situated in the main road corner with Triq Toni Bajada, will provide Atlas clients with the full range of both insurance and investment services.

Atlas Healthcare Malta has announced the launch of Denplan in Malta in the near future.  A seminar was held to introduce the concept to dentists in May and will be available to the public shortly.  Dr Roger Matthews, Denplan’s Chief Dental Officer was here to launch the plans and gave a brief overview of the advantages of Denplan and preventive dental practice.  

The doctoral research work of Dr Mark Azzopardi was recently approved and published as one of the main works by two prestigious eJournals: Pension Risk Management eJournal and Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds & Investment Industry eJournal. The other approved authors hail from the IMF(World Bank), Bank of England and other top universities.  Moreover on the 8^th March his paper was listed on SSRN's Top Ten download list for Pension Risk Management eJournal.

Atlas Healthcare and AXA PPP healthcare are promoting Sun Awareness this Spring and besides supporting the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate’s Melanoma campaign, they are also giving away free UV sensor watches with every health insurance quote.   

The Valletta and international left footed midfielder landed the Atlas Insurance player of the month award for March awarded during the One TV sports programme L-Argument.

Gareth Sciberras of Marsaxlokk is the Atlas Insurance player of the month for February.  This award which is part of the One Tv sports programme L-Argument, is given following votes by ONE sports journalists present at the Maltese Premier League football games.
